A Mini Shop Hop
Saturday, a few ladies from my quilt guild took me around to some of the quilt stores here on the island. I tried to be good. I really did.
The first shop, I bought some burgandy fabric to go with my Bento Box Quilt. Nothing really special about the fabric - plus I forgot to take a photo.
The second shop, I almost made it out of there until I saw the green with red stockings fabric. I already had the red with green stockings fabric. I also bought the red with gold polka dots.

The third shop… I was BAD!! I found the thread I went for, plus some superior king tut thread in varigated oranges for Licorice Spice. I also found the fabric below. In my defens though, it is for a mystery class from my guild this weekend - I needed 12 fat quarters and the ladies who are doing the mystery were with me. They suggested an inner border and an outer border. Just so you know, I can count to 12 - the 13th FQ was free, so I got one in the colors in case I changed my mind about one of them.

You got some great new goodies! The stockings are really cute, but I LOVE your mystery fabrics! Can’t wait to see what they will become!
I love the new theme! And the stocking fabric is adorable. Sometimes you have to blow the diet for the sake of sanity.;)

Suzanne - thank you. I couldn’t pass it up.
Girl, looks like you hit the jackpot again! Can’t wait to see the finished product made of these great fabrics!
Yummy fabrics - can’t wait to see what you create with them
Wow! Those are sweet purchases! You know, that’s why I don’t go on fabric diets, I’m bound to break the diet, then I’d feel quilty and try to reduce my quilt by either eating chocolat or buying more fabric, neither are good! ;o) Looking forward to seeing what you do with them!
Hey Kim~
I know you mentioned that you were going to need a new iron for hubby’s uniforms. We have an extra-extra iron if you want it, it is yours. Just let me know, I have been meaning to call you about it and other things…..hope you are having a great week and had fun trick or treating. Hope the kiddos dont drive you too crazy today after all the fun and sugar from last night.:)
hugs!!
Sara
Kim: Do you know who makes that stocking fabric? I love it! Thanks!
Judy - The selvage says: “Hip Holiday! Designed Exclusively for Wilmington Prints by Design Trends”. Hope that helps you.
Love that Christmas fabric and the FQs for your mystery quilt are just fabulous. I know I wouldn’t have been able to resist!
Irene, thank you. I guess I got very lucky - and I am lucky to have such great guild members to take me under their wings.
Helen - Thank you - I have used the pink and brown fabrics already for the mystery quilt. I have a good idea what to do with the Christmas fabrics.
Carol - I have been really bad the last few months on the Fabric diet… (and on my real diet) - but come the new year, I really need to crack down on it; I have had too many gifts to make and no fabrics to use for them.
Sara - thanks for the offer, but DH already bought one for him. The kids had a great time at halloween. I will post photos soon.
Angela - It was very hard to resist the the fabrics.
