A Peach in Stitches

These blocks are for Home of the Brave quilts. If you are unfamiliar with the program, each state (almost all are represented) these quilts are to go to the deceased military as a result of being in Iraq or Afghanistan. The quilts are made for the home of record state and given to the family members. Sometimes each military member’s family gets more than one quilt under different circumstances.

My guild has the state’s point of contact in our guild for the program, so I can just make blocks and hand them to her. That is the biggest deal. Next month, the block of the month program is these blocks - I have enough fabric to make at least 10 blocks next month. They are simple to make too. I feel really good that I can support this program.
