New look to my blog

I recently upgraded to WordPress 2.5 (rc2).  Boy, is this a sweet version of WordPress.  I highly suggest if you are considering changing to WordPress, that you do so with this version (hosted).  I am not sure, but I think that wordpress.com users will have the same change to their admin panel.

I also recently installed a new theme, Options by Justin Tadlock.  I have to say, this is a SWEET theme!!  When I installed it, I didn’t realize it was a BETA theme.  Justin released version 1.1 and boy, is it great!  Far beyond what I could hope in a theme.  I did change my CSS to make the theme’s colors more mine.

I have a peach “theme” going on right now and love it.  I have been wanting something that was “peachy” for a while, but couldn’t find the graphics for it.  Well when I cleaned off my hard drive and external drive last week, I found the perfect graphics.

Enjoy the change!

  1. I like the new look a lot! It’s perfectly peachy. :-)

  2. Love your new look! I’ll have to check out the upgrade.

  3. This is by far one of the best CSS mods I’ve seen. I definitely want to link to your site when I get the showcase up.

I also want to commend you on not using every single widget and tab section available. I believe you might be one of the few people that understand what the theme was made for. :)

    Great work!

  4. It looks great. All we need now is some fabric like the stripes! I’ll have to check out Wordpress.com.

  5. Beautiful site! Took me awhile to find out how to comment, but I did get here! Really, it’s a fabulous page.

  6. WOW - this is great! What a super look - wish I knew how to do this kind of thing. Great job!!

  7. Tami - thank you!! :)

  8. Ruth - I just read that the upgrade for .com users will be sometime next week. Enjoy!

  9. Justin — ::::blushing:::: thank you! I feel honored!

  10. Clare - I was kinda worried that the stripes would be a bit much - and hard on the eyes. It is kinda cool though…

  11. Cheri - Sorry it took you a bit to figure out how to comment; hopefully the adjustment I made this morning will help for next time.

  12. Su Bee - thank you; It is CSS styling is all I basically did to the theme that was already made. It does take a bit of practice and seems a bit daunting at first, but it really isn’t that hard if you have the right tools.

  13. I love this! I wish I could get my blog to work on my server, wordpress.com site doesn’t have half the fun widgets as hosting it myself. Oh well. One day, I’ll try again! Great new layout!

  14. Love the new look — I’m so behind on my blog reading I haven’t had a chance to drop by. So glad I found the time today!

  15. Toni,

Maybe it is your host - if you ever decide to change hosts, my host is hugehost.com and I have not had any problems with them for almost two years. I still feel really bad that you can’t use your theme I made for you. Thanks about the layout - it was fun to customize.

  16. Angela - Thank you - I am so behind on my blog-responding - sorry it took so long.
