Gravatar - Say What??
If you have been to my blog lately and have commented, you have probably noticed that there are some really cute photos (avatars) for some of the readers. But how do you get one for your self?
It is simple, it is easy, it is fun.
You can go to this website (http://en.gravatar.com/) and register for a FREE account where they will host your image for you.
The beauty of this is that any wordpress (gravatar enabled site), wordpress.com site, and some other sites recognize your avatar by just entering your email address. You don’t have to do anything else once you have registered your email address with your personal gravatar.
Also, it will be retroactive. Any site that has gravatars enabled, you can see it for past comment entries. There are “audience ratings” and my site is set to only view “G” and below though - so family friendly avatars only on this site.
