A Friday Finish

 fridayfinish

Well the quilt isn’t finished, but I finally got my  Irish Chain quilt sandwiched.  WOW.  I started the quilt in early 2001 and I think I finished the top in 2002.  It has sat as a flimsy for 6 years.  Yea.  Finally time to finish this one and mark it off my list.  I also managed to sandwich a charity quilt also.

I also managed to drag my box of batting out of storage so that tomorrow after the bee that is at my house (The Sassy Stitch & Bitch Pin-up Girls) I can take a few more tops that I have backing ready for and cut batting for them.  At this rate, I am going to run out of batting, and it is too much money to have batting shipped her via UPS.  ACK.  The dangers of living in Hawaii - everything costs sooo much more because of shipping.

Just so I can be clear with myself.  I am planning on getting batting cut for Triple Scoop, Weedwhacker Star, Autumn Leaves, Friends and Flowers,  and Batik Confetti.  That is five more tops that I can get sandwiched this month.  Now I just have to find thread for them.

I know which threads I want to use for a few of the quilts:

Autumn Leaves, I want to use

   #906 AUTUMN DAYS

Weedwhacker Star, I want to use

   #947 EGYPTIAN PRINCESS

I may use the following for Triple Scoop

    #992 PINE CONE

or

   #924 LIME STONE

Those are all King Tut threads, by Supirior.  I just love the way it quilts.  I am lucky that one of the LQS carries a lot of them.

I am not sure what to use for Batik Confetti or Friends and Flowers…. I do need help for them.
