At It Again

Yes.  I did it.  I started another project.

I got my Frosted Windowpanes quilt kit in the mail yesterday and couldn’t even pause long enough to take a picture of the kit before I broke into it.  I told myself I was just going to look at the pattern to see how difficult it was.  I would just look at all the different fabrics to make sure they were all there.  Then I would just sort them into colors instead of being mixed up.

Yea.  Ok.

At 5pm I was cutting into it.  By 8 pm (and had to pause to cook dinner and eat) –  I have 40 3″ 9-patch blocks.

I have to laugh at this. I am guilty of starting a new project as well, even though I am committed to finishing those that I already have started. I just had to make a couple “test” blocks for a quilt I designed. Next thing I know, I have all the pieces cut out for the entire quilt. Oh well.

I just LOVE it when someone DIVES into their work! :::grin::: Oh..and when I meet someone that is JUST like ME! I have been SO good…I was going to start a NYE mystery, but I resisted. When I saw the pictures, I was glad. I DID start a mystery around Thanksgiving and have only slogged thru 2 clues. I had to finish a couple Christmas promised projects. Looks like you had FUN! No guilt in that….hehehehehe

    Hi Kim,
Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he get’s better soon.
Sometimes I think it’s more stressful when you cannot be there in person.
Regarding the wired flowers…I placed a bunch of wire petals onto a 5-inch square and it looks like you can get at least 3 plumeria from it and maybe more depending on how close you place them. Of course, it also depends how large you actually make your petals too. I hope you have fun with the project. I know it will look wonderful on your new dining room table and a great conversation piece too.
    Aloha!

Thank you Lettie – his prognosis is good, but a long road ahead.

I want to get the L’amore charm squares and do this, but I should probably be a little realistic and choose a non-seasonal charm square pack. Thanks for checking for me.
