Last summer, the shop hop on Oahu had prizes. I won one, a jelly roll of assorted fabrics. The theme of the fabrics was dots. It contained 30 strips. Most of the patterns that I wanted to use needed 40+ strips.
I scrounged around my stash and came up with 10 more dot fabrics to add to them:
Why am I bringing this up?
My son came downstairs this morning and stated his favorite cuddling quilt was getting too short. I guess that it was inevitable.
I was looking for a fabric collection that was good for a boy, but couldn’t find one. Everything seemed too girly. I then remembered about the fabric I won.
I will be making Pineapple Surprises from the book "Jelly Roll Quilts”. I ordered some tan Moda Bella Solids for the background.
Hopefully this quilt will be long enough for him for a while.

Love dots, and have an entire collection! These are wonderful, can’t wait to see it in progress.
Great fabrics, Kim. I hope the new quilt won’wt keep him awake!
