1. Work more on the Sunshine pineapples. I was just going to iron the tear away stabilizer on the back to prep for applique. I then decided to see what one block would look like appliqued. Then it lead to getting them all done. I then set the blocks and put the border on it. So now the top is completed. Since it is my Judy L’s #10 UFO on my Challenge list, I can mark it is done… for now. I only wanted to get it to top stage to mark it off my UFO list.

2. Work on Coconut shaved Ice Nope. Didn’t even LOOK at these.

I also worked on my guild’s BOM blocks (I did four of them) and another block that I can’t show. A semi-productive week. Smile

1.  Sandwich Bento Box (maybe I can get it done THIS week)- No, but I did try.  The batting was cut too wonky so I need to cut more when my batting comes in next week.

2.  Work on Sunshine Pineapples (since this is my #10 for Judy L’s UFO Challenge, I should work on it more) – Yes – I got the leaves cut out and fused to the background along with the pineapples themselves.

3.  Work on a couple of blocks for Hearth and Home – nope.

I also worked on my Coconut Shaved Ice quilt.

I am not anticipating a week of being able to get anything done again.  Most of the reasons I can’t go into it on the blog, but trust me, I would rather be sewing!

I managed to get my Japanese Jigsaw quilt completed last week.  I also got some cutting done on my Coconut Shaved Ice quilt.

Sweet 16

sweet1616 years ago today I married my high school sweetheart.  There have been ups and downs and ins and outs, but never did I go to sleep angry at him.  I hope the same is true for him.

We have spent birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays apart due to his being deployed, but I think that because we do cherish the days we do get to spend together, it makes us more connected.  “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” is never more true for any two individuals as it is for us. I grow more in love with him every day – not to say that I am not angry sometimes with him, that is a marriage.

He got me (well I ordered it for him so I got exactly what I wanted) a Tutto Bag for my 6500.  In Lime green… from I Have A Notion.  He calls Kelly my “Dealer” because she keeps my supplied with tools for my habit. He calls her inventory “Quilter’s Crack”.

Here is a picture of a bag like I got:

teehehe – now I don’t have to lug my machine hoping it won’t get wet on rainy days when I go to my bees.  It has plenty of storage, I can’t wait to try it out this weekend at my Sassy Bee!  Thank you baby for the most awesome gift!  I have been wanting one of these for years.
