Bear With Me

One more week until school is out for the quarter (Friday, October 5th) .  I am doing really well with all my classes, but since something had to give, quilting was the thing for me.  I am making A’s in all of my classes, at least right now.  We will see after tomorrow’s test I have to do in my Business class as a makeup since I was out sick yesterday due to my daughter having a cold and staying home from school.  I should have studied more, but I caught up on my sleep while she was snoozing on the couch.

I am severely anxious to get back to some creations with fabric.  I will miss school though.  I gained a bunch of confidence in myself… I can do it and compete with (if not do loads better) than some of the younger kids out there.  I can’t wait to go back after we move to the mainland and things settle down.

I may take a few days to chill and get back to normal after going to school 5 days a week for four hours each and countless hours of homework.  The other thing is my house needs to be overhauled.  I have just been doing the bare minimums in the cleaning department to get by, but that may have to wait until I can get my hands on some fabric and create!

I have been good and not read any blogs and have not ordered any fabric during the last 9 weeks (except one layer cake)  Today, I read a few blogs (I had cleared them all out on Wednesday by just hitting “marked all as read” – I usually see 1K+ posts a week on my feed reader).  I also ordered a pre-celebratory box of fabric from “The Fat Quarter Shop” for myself since I managed to make it through the quarter without becoming too distracted with fabric and sewing and that I am making such good grades.

Anyway – see you again in just over a week; once I am done with finals week.

  1. Your perseverance is commendable, and with those grades has really payed off for you. Good luck on the finals, although luck has nothing to do with it when you work that hard. Wish I could have learnt that when I was younger and in school! Enjoy your fabric overload after October 5th!
