This intermission is brought to you by a new passion… making jewelry.  Since I can’t really show any of the quilty things that I am working on, I thought I would show you some of my new passion.  I still love quilting, but this is nearly instant gratification compared to quilting!

Here is my first completed piece: Rock Candy Bracelet

It looks like rock candy to me.  I made it for my daughter.  She absolutely loves it!

Here are the details:

  • Silver Plated Bracelet
  • Plastic Beads (recycled from a shirt that I never really liked, but loved the beads!)
  • 22 guage silver plated wire

Since I have more of the beads left, I might make a pair of matching earrings for her.  I have a box of some beading supplies coming in today with some ear wires… ohhh some playing may go on this afternoon!
