This little wall hanging was a result of the “Dare to Dresden” blog hop that I participated in.  After completing my Anuenue quilt for the hop I was loving Dresden blocks.  I would see them everywhere in the blog world.  My day to showcase my quilt was in the middle of the hop, so I had plenty of time to see what other’s had done before me.

I was inspired by many on the “Dare to Dresden” blog hop to create this quilt.  You can read more about it here.

The whole time I was making this quilt, I kept saying “beautiful” to myself, and they are flowers.  I had to look up on Google what “Beautiful Flowers” meant in Hawaiian – “Puanani”.

As my time in Hawaii comes to a close for now, I will be forever reminded of it by this quilt and my Anuenue quilt.
