Beach Day

Last weekend, we went to Bellows AFS Beach.  It is a lovely beach on an Air Force station here on Oahu.  Only military members and family (and guests) are allowed to go on this beach.  It is my favorite beach on the island.

The sand is just awesome!  It is a finer powdery sand that is firm when you walk on it.

Here is my daughter with her boogie board.  The waves at this beach is just right.

We play toss on the beach too most times we go.  Here is my son getting ready to throw the mini football.

Then we ate lunch – there is a Subway right there on the beach – also a little convenience store.

After a little waiting after lunch – we went back into the water…

It was a wonderful day at the beach… as usual…

Where did the time go?

What happened to the last three weeks?  Oh my goodness I don’t know – it is all a blur to me.

I think I got caught up in the flurry of end-of-school activities and trying to make sure my son was caught up in all of his work that needed to be done.

I also had a lot of things happen to me.  I am now the vice-president of my guild, The Hawaii Quilt Guild.  I was elected at the last meeting during the end of May and will be installed in June. It is a one-year term with the option to run one more term afterwards.

The day after school was out (Thursday), we went camping for the weekend.  I have been busy trying to get things together for that trip.  It was fun and I have a few photos at the beach, but I forgot to charge the batteries in my camera, so I didn’t take many photos.

We got back from the camping trip yesterday, and I just promptly took a nice long hot shower and then chilled out on the couch in the AC and fell asleep. Today we will have to unpack the car and start the wash of all the clothes.  Hubby is off work until next week, so we are spending a little time just getting things done around the house.

Pictures from the beach will be later, and I plan on doing some sewing later.
