Triple Scoop

This top makes me think of ice cream. Strawberry, vanilla, chocolate fudge, mint, and milk chocolate ice creams.

This was the mystery quilt from my guild. It was a fun class. I managed to get all the blocks completed in the class and the top put together on Monday.

  1. YUMMY!!! Now I am drooling all over my keyboard. LOL I really like those fabrics!!

  2. Yes I can see the icecream too. It looks lovely.

  3. Love the colors you chose for this mystery! Very happy and warm…and yes, disturbingly like ice cream!! Now I’m hungry! Hugs, Finn

  4. Julia - thank you. I couldn’t pass those up.

  5. Judith - thanks! My daughter has claimed this quilt… guess I need to get it done soon then.

  6. Finn - thank you! Sorry for making you hungry… ;)

  7. Looks great Kim! I made one like that in the spring when I was at retreat and when I looked at it all I saw was Neopolitan Ice Cream. I called it ChocVanStraw with a Touch of Mint. There’s a picture of the finished quilt on my blog http://mdquilter73.blogspot.com/2007/07/day-at-quilt-show.html

Can’t wait to see it quilted!

  8. Beth - yours is beautiful too!!

  9. Kim, I love the quilt. You are right — it does look like ice cream — yummy! I see why your daughter wants it!!!!

    Nice job!

  10. Aunt Kathy - thank you! I hope it is big enough for a twin - it is taller than my husband (he’s 6′tall) and his arms outstretched - he was even on his tippy toes to take the picture.

  11. Just lovely — and it makes me think of Neopolitan ice cream — with all three flavors joined together!

  12. Thank you Angela - I love this top.
