Petal Power
This quilt was made for my “work wife’s” first grandbaby. When I first heard she was going to be a grandma for the first time, I knew that I wanted to make her gandbaby a quilt. She shared that it was going to be a girl and Petal Power by Me and my Sister Designs had just released. The pattern is Trifles by Its Sew Emma. It was a really easy sew. I finished the top in a weekend. I then was able to make the backing and pillowcase the next weekend. I bound the quilt over a couple of weeknights after work. I always like to make a matching pillowcase. I usually make my baby quilts a bit larger – so that they fit a toddler. I make the matching pillowcase so that the baby can drag it around and love on it for a long time. In anticipation of getting more quilts finished this year, I ordered 25 of these labels. Fast and Flurrious
This was a Sew Sampler project a few months ago. I completed it just before Thanksgiving -just in time to put it out on my server in my dinging room. The fabric collection is Cider by Basic Grey. I made the runner longer to accommodate the size of my server. I did the fremotion quilting on my sewing machine. Related Images:

Falling Leaves
Since I went through my quilt tops and took photos of them I had wanted to complete more of my quilts. Part of the reasons why is because I have room to hang them on the walls in my house. Part of the reason is I feel so guilty having so many tops not quilted. This quilt is among one of my oldest quilt tops. Around 18 (give or take a few years) years ago I was part of an old Delphi Forum, BEFORE Facebook! We had a block exchange of Maple leaves. I received quite a few blocks and they sat for around 9 years. I put it into a top thinking I would add some interesting borders. The problem is. I am not fond of browns and oranges – so I rarely buy those fabrics. i now have a wonderful place in my dining room for smaller wall hangings that this quilt fit perfectly in. . Related Images:

Going Batty
just in time for Halloween. This is based on the Bats and Boos quilt along from Fat Quarter Shop. I added several borders to the top. I particularly like the pinwheel border. What surprised me the most about making the quilt was I did large scale free motion stippleing on it. It was like riding a bike with my new sewing machine. Related Images:
