Cotton Cuts Mystery
I saw this (well my husband did) and thought I would give it a try. My husband is a fan of Tula Pink fabrics. I will say though, I will not do another cotton Cuts Mystery. I actually enjoy the process of cutting and while these are precise, it is not for me. I don’t like that my fabric is not starched. It makes it more difficult to sew with. Month 7 Related Images:

Christmas Twinkle
This is a new BOM from Fig Tree Quilts. It is going to be a red & white quilt. If you can’t tell, I really like doing Fig Tree Quilt mystery Block of the Months. This is going to be my 6th? one. I have two I have completed the top for and 4 that are in progress. Only two are actively running though. I have two that I need to get back to. With the currently active ones I am trying to stay caught up. This past weekend, I got caught up on Ponte Vecchio. This is the blocks from this month. The spikey units were a pain. I hope we don’t have any more of these in the quilt. I may, however, get some more of the tree fabric and remake those portions. It is driving me crazy that they are not going the same direction. We will see as the quilt comes together. Month 2 Related Images:

Ponte Vecchio – BOM
One of my goals for the month of August was to get caught up with this block of the month. We last received month 7 kit and I had not even started the blocks. I had prepped fabric for months 1-5 though. This past weekend, I decided it was time to work on these blocks to at least do a few months to not make it so bad when it came time to put the quilt together. Month 1 Blocks Month 2 Blocks Month 3 Blocks These are always fun to work on and they stretch my skills as a quilter sometimes. The only thing I do not like about Fig Tree BOM programs is sometimes there is not enough fabric if you starch (which I do)and you have to hunt down the fabric – which it is not necessarily a Fig Tree fabric.
