Mother’s Day - A bit early

Mother’s Day came a bit early for me.

We were out shopping today and with my inlaws coming in tomorrow for a week-long visit, I wanted to get a new crock pot.  I will be responsible for cooking 2 of the 4 meals that we will be eating at home (my sister-in-law is cooking the other two) I opted for two meals for the crock pot. I will be making chili and chicken enchiladas.

The one I had was good - a 7 quart one (I think, it was fairly large).  I use it at least once a week.  The problem with it is, you can’t cook just a little bit.  Not that I will need “a little bit” with my inlaws all being here for dinner.  The problem comes when my husband is deployed soon.  Yep, you read that right, my husband is getting deployed. I think at the end of the month or early June.

So my husband got me this:

It is the one that has the three different crocks to go with it.  A two-quart, a 4-quart, and a 6 quart.   I can’t wait to try it out!

He also got me a new food processor.  My last chopper broke.  I like making homemade salsa.

And… last but not least… a new purse:

Isn’t my honey a sweetie??!!
