Summer Moon – Checkerboard Block
This has been a project that has been on the back-burner for a while. I have had several other blocks of the month that I was wanting to work on prior to working on this one again. Part of the reason is I was really dreading this block. I think I have 6 each of 9 more blocks, 54 or so blocks left to make. Give or take a few. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get it done. Summer Moon – Broken Dishes
When I signed up for Summer Moon, I will be honest, I loved the colors and knew it was a block of the month, but I was in a quilting slump that had been going on pretty much since we moved back to Texas 6 years ago. First it was school kept me busy for the first 2 1/2 years and then it was establishing myself in my new career. Then it was that I just didn’t have the will to go into the sewing room much.
